The directors of Wind Energy Solutions along with Clare Winds and Enerco are made up of a group of business people from Ireland whose experience spans a wide range of business sectors including over 15 years of involvement in renewable energy development throughout Europe.

The developers also have interests in a number of leading European companies involved in forestry, timber processing, timber framed housing and the mechanical and electrical contracting industries. They also have interests in a number of operating hydroelectric stations and are pursuing solar power interests in Australia. Their cumulative interests in this respect account for an annual turnover of over $330m and the employment of over 450 people.

Currently, the developers operate and are in the process of establishing a number of major wind energy projects in Europe. These projects are at varying stages in the planning process and account for over 400MW of capacity with an approximate development cost $900m.The largest of these projects is a 50MW wind farm for which full planning permission has been granted and which is currently in the construction phase. The company recognizes that due to geographical and national electricity grid capacity constraints, further opportunities for wind energy development in Europe will be limited. Accordingly, they are now considering development opportunities internationally. Australia has been identified as having potential for wind and solar energy development in the future. The developers are now seeking to secure wind and solar development rights for suitable sites in Australia and abroad.
